AMAZON
One of my first assignments at FCB was working on Amazon.com. We created six spots for their holiday campaign featuring the singing "Amazon Sweatermen." Evoking Mitch Miller, the Sweatermen sang ernestly about shopping online. To get that perfect retro look, we made dubs of dubs of dubs before striking a master copy. The campaign was a huge success, even garnerng the TV pitchmen a featured slot on ABC's Good Morning America.
This campaign was recognized by the One Show, British D&AD, Addys, Adweek, Ad Age, Creativity, the London International Advertising Awards and the Stout-Laden Awards.
In late 2019, our campaign was parodied on the Netflix show Patriot Act with Hasan Minhaj. That's staying power.
We also did some stupid print (for VHS!). Crazy that this work sold, but this was before Amazon owned the world.
